HIGASHIDORI?
HIGASHIDORI is placed in northern part of Aomori prefecture and well known for the no-mai (traditional performance), which was brought through the generations since the Muromachi era (14-16 century). This art is designated as a important and traditional nationally in Japanese culture.
Additionally, a remarkable horse, the"kandachime"inhabits here since ever and is recognized as a precious race and characteristic treasure.
This explains why HIGASHIDORI is called the hometown of kandachime and no-mai (in Japanese)
HIGASHIDORI's electric generation is done by eastern wind and it disposes of 65 wind electric facilities.
36,000 kW of power (largest local power production in Japan) are generated from natural resource.

HIGASHIDORI is placed in east-side of Shimokita Peninsula. Surrounded by the Tsugaru channel and the Pacific Ocean, fisheries industry is a vitally important industry, with good production of scallop, sea shell, salmon, and fluke.
Breeding cows, cultivation of soba and blueberry is the other side of our agriculture.
Soba and organic blueberry produced by chilling environment have been a subject of our constant attention and is a very healthy food. Especially, blueberry jam is well delivered to local market and urban market.
In the near future, we will introduce other products like beef jerky, ham and sausage toward markets.
